Hyaluronic Acid / Viscosupplimentation Injections

Omnicare Health is glad to offer hyaluronic acid injections combined with a tailored exercise rehabilitation program to our clients suffering from knee osteoarthritis, other joint and soft tissue problems. This combination approach has set us apart as a niche in the effective management of Musculoskeletal and Arthritic joint conditions.

Our practice has been awarded a status of Ostenil Approved Clinic for the administration of Ostenil Mini, Ostenil Plus and Ostenil tendon by TRB Chemedica UK, a leading manufacturer of Hyaluronic acid formulation in the UK.

What Is Hyaluronic Acid?

Are injections that contain a higher concentration of sodium hyaluronate. This formulary has been proven to give effective symptomatic relief of pain and increase joint mobility from symptoms arising from osteoarthritis of the knee and other joint or tendon injuries.

The Benefit Includes:

  • Hyaluronic acid help to promote the joint lining (synovium) of the knee joint.
  • They improve and replace some of the normal ingredients located within the joint synovial fluid.
  • They act as an active anti-inflammatory ingredient to reduce joint inflammation which may be contributing to joint pain.

What Conditions May Benefit From Hyaluronic Acid Injections:

  • Early stages of joint arthritis with pain and limitation of function.
  • Cases of severe osteoarthritis who may want to postpone a Total knee Replacement surgery.
  • Sport injuries with lesion of articular cartilage of the knee joint.
  • Cases of tendon injuries such as Patella, Achilles, Rotator cuff tendons that have failed conservative management might benefit from Ostenil tendon injection using a Ultrasound guidance.

Risk Or Adverse Effect Involved:

Our clinician who will give you the injection will check your past medical history to ensure that you are at minimal risk of any adverse reaction.

Ostenil is a very pure product which is made by a process called fermentation. It contains no animal proteins (unlike some other hyaluronic acid injection available) which means adverse reactions are extremely unusual with Ostenil injections, but if you are unwell after your injection or notice any of the following symptoms: swelling, redness or warmth around the injection site, please speak to your GP.
